Letting Scheme for Subsidised Sale Developments with Premium Unpaid 2019 - Hong Kong Housing Society

From 25 November 2020 onwards for Tenant Application (no application deadline at this moment).

  1. Ordinary family (including one-person household under Single Elderly Persons Priority Scheme) holding a valid Public Rental Housing (PRH) application number of HA and that application has been registered for 3 years or more (i.e. from the registration date of PRH application to the application form submission date of the Scheme) ; or 
  2. Non-elderly one-person household holding a valid PRH application number of HA under the Quota and Points System and that application has been registered for 6 years or more (i.e. from the registration date of PRH application to the application form submission date of the Scheme);
  3. Please note that if the applicant and/or any persons listed on the application form (if any) (“Family Members”) as mentioned in paragraph 1 or 2 of the above are the tenants/users/licencees of PRH, Transitional Rental Housing or Monthly/Occupation Licence of HA or HS or their spouses, they are not eligible to apply under the Scheme.
  4. The Applicant must attain the age of 18 on the date of application form submission and at the same time must be the applicant stated in the HA PRH application form as stated in paragraph 1 or 2 of the above.
  5. The information of the applicant and/or Family Members must be the same as that of the application for HA PRH.
  6. The applicant and/or Family Members must comply with the prevailing policy and criteria for applying HA PRH (including but not limited to the number of family members, income and asset) from the date of application form submission to the issue of the “Tenant Certificate”, must not own directly or indirectly in any manner any domestic property in Hong Kong and have not been allocated any PRH unit by HA or HS at any time.

Please note: Persons who have applied under the Scheme in October 2018 or December 2019 but have not been successfully issued with the “Tenant Certificate” can reapply and pay the application fee if they are still interested and meet the eligibility of the Scheme.

Persons who are interested in applying for "Tenant Certificate" shall first read the Application Guide applicable to prospectvie Tenants carefully and submit the application in one of the following manners :

1.  Online Application

Submit online application and pay the application fee of HK$100 online at the designated website : www.lettingtenantorphkhs.com. If the online application is successful, applicants do not have to submit the hard copies of application form by post or by hand again; otherwise it would be deemed as duplicated application and HS reserves the right to cancel all relevant applications; or 

2.  By Mail or In Person

Complete application form in block letters (and in Chinese if applicable) with black or blue ball, and submit the completed application form together with an application fee of HK$100 [paid in the form of crossed cheque or cashier order payable to “HONG KONG HOUSING SOCIETY”. Please write the applicant’s name and telephone number at the back of the cheque or cashier order). Cash, post-dated cheque or electronic cheque will not be accepted, and all applications with dishonored cheque/cashier order or without cheque/cashier order will be cancelled].

(a)  By mail to Hong Kong Housing Society, G.P.O. Box No. 8600, Hong Kong. Please indicate (“Letting Scheme for Subsidised Sale Developments with Premium Unpaid” – Tenant’s Application) on the cover of the envelope. If the application form cannot be delivered to HS due to insufficient postage, the application will not be processed; or

(b)  By returning in person to Applications Section of HS (G/F, Dragon Centre, 23 Wun Sha Street, Tai Hang, Hong Kong) (Office hours: 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. from Mondays to Fridays, excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays).
